Llama la atención que todo lo que pasa en la economía, la sociedad, la política, la ciencia y otros ámbitos, durante 12 meses, tiene que ver con la elección de la palabra del año.
¿Quién la escoge?
La referencia para la presente publicación es la Fundación del Español Urgente y la Real Academia Española (FundéuRAE). Este primer post está dedicado a la ganadora del año 2023, y en el siguiente viene la lista de las palabras más utilizadas en el idioma español desde el año 2013.
¿Por qué desde el 2013?
Porque a partir de ese año la FUNDÉU, comenzó con esta curiosa tarea.
¿Cuál es el criterio para elegirla?
Según la FUNDÉU: ≪La ganadora, que no tiene que ser necesariamente una voz nueva, ha de suscitar interés lingüístico por su origen, formación o uso y haber tenido un papel protagonista en el año de su elección.»
La palabra que destacó, entre varias candidatas, durante 2023 fue POLARIZACIÓN, que viene del mundo de la física. Es la manera utilizada para explicar que dos opiniones están extremadamente divididas o separadas. A continuación algunos ejemplos:
Muchas publicaciones similares a esta encontramos en los periódicos, las redes sociales, las revistas, la televisión, en internet…definiendo los extremos de opinión sobre un tema de actualidad.

Intensive Spanish classes at the school and daily organised activities allowed students to practice their Spanish with natives and students from other countries. Salamanca was a great experience!

Enriching and exchanging experiences and research on the Spanish language
Avanza Spanish School was present at the Congress of the Association for the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language held in Burgos, Spain
The medieval city hosted 400 specialists from 40 cities who met to discuss and debate about interaction, discourse and technology in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, second language (co-official) or heritage language (due to immigration).
Some topics included: the situation of Spanish in Japan, Korea, China, India and the Philippines, the difficulties that students from various countries have in learning Spanish. The verbs ser, estar, tener and artificial intelligence were also included.
This event inspires us to continue exploring and celebrating the richness of Spanish in our lives, and we eagerly anticipate future meetings.

Die Avanza Spanish School war auf dem Kongress der Vereinigung für den Unterricht von Spanisch als Fremdsprache in Burgos, Spanien, vertreten.
In der mittelalterlichen Stadt trafen sich 400 Fachleute aus 40 Städten, um über Interaktion, Diskurs und Technologie beim Unterrichten von Spanisch als Fremdsprache, Zweitsprache (amtlich anerkannt) oder Herkunftssprache (aufgrund von Einwanderung) zu diskutieren und zu debattieren.
Einige Themen waren: die Situation der spanischen Sprache in Japan, Korea, China, Indien und auf den Philippinen, die Schwierigkeiten, die Lernende aus verschiedenen Ländern beim Erlernen der spanischen Sprache haben. Die Verben ser, estar, tener und künstliche Intelligenz wurden ebenfalls behandelt.
Diese Veranstaltung inspiriert uns dazu, den Reichtum des Spanischen in unserem Leben weiter zu erforschen und zu feiern, und wir freuen uns schon auf künftige Treffen.
